Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are placed on the front of the teeth to create an illusion of a perfect smile.

Veneers are generally used to correct the chips and shape of your teeth.

How will veneers affect my natural teeth?

Before veneers can be placed on your teeth, around 0.3mm to 0.7 mm of enamel will be removed from each tooth that will be covered with veneers. This enamel is removed for the veneers to look more natural and less bulky in your mouth.

Are veneers permanent?

Yes, veneers are permanent because enamel has been removed from the surface of the treated tooth.

Is the preparation process for veneers uncomfortable?

Since only a very small amount of your enamel will be removed as preparation, you are unlikely to feel any discomfort.
