Dental Bridge – Great for fillings in the gaps in your smile
If you have missing teeth that are impacting your quality of life, or making it difficult to eat or speak, our Liverpool clinicians may recommend dental bridges. Bridges are dental appliances designed to replace and restore missing teeth.
WHAT DOES THE DENTAL BRIDGE TREATMENT PROCESS INVOLVE?
During the dental bridge treatment process, crowns are placed on your healthy teeth on each side of the bridge. They act as anchors to keep the bridge in place. In between your crowns, there is a false tooth that functions as an ordinary tooth once the bridge is fitted. Our experienced dentists can create dental bridges that capture the shape and shade of your natural teeth.
How many teeth can one Dental bridge replace?
One dental bridge can replace up to two teeth. If you have more missing teeth, dental implants or dentures may be a better option.
After a thorough examination, our clinicians will discuss all the options available to you and which would most likely benefit your oral health the most.
Will I receive my bridge in a single appointment?
Dental bridge treatment spans over two visits. At the first visit, your neighbouring anchor tooth or teeth will be prepared for the crowns, and an impression of your mouth is taken.
A temporary bridge may be cemented into your mouth until your next appointment, during which your fixed bridge is attached.
