Bridges are dental appliances designed to fill gaps of missing teeth.
Crowns are placed on your healthy teeth on each side of the bridge. They act as anchors to keep the bridge in place. In between your crowns, there is a false tooth that functions as an ordinary tooth once the bridge is fitted.
How many teeth can one bridge replace?
One dental bridge can replace up to two teeth. If you have more missing teeth, dental implants, or dentures may be a better option.
The Primadent staff will discuss all the options available to you and which would most likely benefit your oral health the most.
Will I receive my bridge in a single appointment?
The treatment will span over two visits. At the first visit, your neighbouring anchor tooth/teeth will be prepared for the crowns, and an impression of your mouth is taken.
A temporary bridge may be cemented into your mouth until your next appointment, during which your final bridge is attached.
The Primadent team is always available to answer questions about any dental treatment, including dental bridges. Call us on 01512 282 226 or e-mail primadent.limited@nhs.net to find out how a bridge can restore your confidence in your smile.
